"Selftow.com" is the hire division of Sandspec Trailers.

We aim to hire trailers and miscellaneous items to provide solutions, and take pride in providing you with a professional service.

Our trailers are all regularly maintained and are sent out with suitable security measures, spare wheel and spare bulbs.

It is a legal requirement to display a Number Plate. If you already have a suitable legal plate; please remember to bring it with you. If you need one, we make a special offer of a legitimate (BS145d) Perspex Plate, at half our showroom price.

When collecting the trailer, or item we will need to confirm your identity and will ask you to sign the "Conditions of Hire".

You will need to bring with you:

• Driving Licence Either Photocard style with it's paper counterpart or Paper Type supported by Photo ID such as Passport, ID Card etc (for Identity plus to check that you are licensed to tow the trailer)
  
  
• Utility Bill with address that matches driving licence (Current bank statement, phone or services bill, council tax bill)
  
  
• A road legal number plate, or a V5 Registration Document for the Towing Vehicle, if you need one making up (supplied at half our normal price) (If you don't have a V5 please check to see what documents are suitable) Number Plates Links to Number Plates page amongst "Products"
  
  
• Hire Fee (preferably payable by card)
  
  
• Deposit of £200, for trailers, or £100 for other items. (preferably payable by card, refundable on return of the trailer or item, undamaged and complete with all accessories)

Please check out our advice on Towing Laws, Driving Licenses and Tachographs as you are responsible for keeping within the law for any trailer hired to you. It is especially important that newer drivers, who past their test since January 1st 1997 observe the laws on the trailers they can tow, especially regarding Maximum Authorized Mass (Gross Weight) in relation to the towing vehicle.

Collection and Return.

Hire Periods:	Start at 9.00am or 5.00pm regardless of actual Pick-Up time Finish at 8.30am or 4.30pm regardless of actual Pick-Up time
Daily Hire:	Collect 1 day, return the next day at 8.30am or 4.30pm but no longer than 23½ hours Additional days, nights or half days charged pro-rata
Weekly Hire:	Return 7 days after collection at 8.30am or 4.30pm but no longer than 7 days less ½ hour Additional days, nights or half days charged pro-rata
Week-end Hire:	Collect Saturday 9.00am, return on Monday at 8.30am but no longer than 47½ hours Additional days, nights or half days charged at the Daily Hire Rate
Bank Holidays:	Bank Holiday Days attached to, or in the middle of Hire Periods are charged additionally at half the daily rate.

All items are for collection and return to our premises in Truro, during our opening times. In certain circumstances we may be able to arrange a one-way hire, organizing the return by carrier at the hirer's expense.
